The Hong Kong RFID Awards is an annual industry award established by GS1 Hong Kong in 2008 and recognized as the premier RFID award presented in Hong Kong. The awards were established to bring recognition to pioneering enterprises, which have successfully brought EPC/RFID technology into their business operations, encourage the adoption of EPC/RFID technology by businesses in Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta region, and foster the development of new EPC/RFID products and services.
Launched at the beginning of 2012, Metal Skin is a lightweight, low profile, flexible metal RFID tag designed to fit curved surfaces such as the contour of metallic cylinders and drums, with unprecedented performance. The revolutionary, patent pending RFID inlay comes in different sizes and is flexible for application on any type of surfaces.

The award will be presented at a ceremony at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on November 9 during the 12th GS1 Hong Kong Supply China Management Excellence Summit 2012.
